Regional Personnel Services, a township-based traditional staffing firm since 1997, has launched of a Virtual Staffing Division, which will match virtual administrative and bookkeeping employees with time-pressed executives and entrepreneurs throughout the United States.
The Virtual Staffing Division is a win-win situation for both the employer and virtual assistant, said Tina Peckman, president of Regional Personnel Services. Virtual assistants can work from wherever they want for no less than $10 an hour and enjoy flexible schedules, where they can choose their own hours. They are paid weekly as a regional employee, not through a 1099.
This new avenue has allowed Regional Personnel Services to expand their reach and target new markets, including entrepreneurs, small business owners, Realtors, business and strategy coaches and professional speakers, while still offering their traditional staffing services. For more information on how to hire a virtual employee or join the network of virtual assistants, call 877-RPS-0565 or click www.regionalpersonnel.com.

After 30 years as a marketing executive in the pharmaceutical industry and three layoffs in three years, Joni Sterlacci decided to start her own business.
“I started tanning just to make myself feel better,” Sterlacci said.
Sterlacci said that she visited 25 salons from Central Jersey to New York City, talking with the owners about the business and even discussing the idea of buying their stores.
Sterlacci and partner Nick Grabko, owner of Superior Cleaners South in Flemington, decided to start from scratch and build an upscale, relaxing tanning salon with reasonable prices in Hunterdon County. Tan Royale was born.
“I had a vision from day one and this it,” Sterlacci said. “I wanted people to come in for $15 and get a $50 tan.”
Tan Royale has 12 separate studios with a standing spray tanning booth, a personal airbrush spray tan room and tanning beds for beginners, accelerated and advanced tanners.
“Athletes like the manual airbrush spray room for muscle definition,” Sterlacci said.
Sterlacci said the salon uses the latest technology, including a new High Pressure Tanning Booth with 360 degree tanning and only one-percent burning rays as compared with almost four-percent burning rays in other beds.
Tanning sessions can last from eight to 20 minutes depending on the bed and the level of tanning ray exposure. Clients can buy individual sessions, multiple sessions or monthly packages.
“You pay by the session, not by the time or wattage of the lamps,” Sterlacci said.
Tan Royale also offers the “Royal Whitening System” for teeth. Twenty minutes under an LED light activates a whitening gel that guarantees at least four shades whiter teeth.
The salon offers a full line of lotions, goggles, sunless tanning and beauty products and a private jewelry line not available in any retail store. And there’s a big screen TV in the waiting room.
Tan Royale is open seven days a week, but Sterlacci is still the sole employee. She said she wants to make sure each client gets the best service and the safest tanning experience.
“I’ve spoiled my customers to the point where they don’t want to see anyone else behind the desk but me,” Sterlacci said. “The time will come for me to relax, but I am relishing in the success for now.”
