Chamber Presents Candidates Christie, Guadagno

The Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce Tuesday presented gubernatorial candidate Chris Christie and his running mate Kim Guadagno at a business roundtable at Copper Hill Country Club in Raritan Township . The event gave more than fifty area business owners and leaders an opportunity to hear the candidates’ plans and vision for New Jersey and ask questions.

“It was great opportunity for members of the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce, which represents hundreds of small business in this county to have frank conversation on the future of our State,” said Chamber President Chris Phelan. “Many of the issues that were discussed today by both Chris Christie and Kim Guadagno are all relevant to what business are facing here in Hunterdon, from transportation, to the rising cost of HealthCare, to the tax burden on the back of business in this State.”

“This was a good opportunity for members of the business community to hear what plans, if elected, Chris Christie has to increase business vitality in the state of New Jersey,” said Chamber Vice Chairman Nick Pellitta, an attorney with the firm Norris, McLaughlin & Marcus, P.A. 

The Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce represents over 500 businesses and organizations. The Chamber has an active Business & Government Committee which co sponsors a monthly Employee Legislative Committee Breakfast.
